In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, we're proud to highlight Ferguson Marine’s ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation of apprentices.
Recently, we had the opportunity to attend career events at local schools to connect with young people and share the exciting possibilities in shipbuilding.
In January, we visited St Columbas High School in Gourock, where former pupils Nathan Harkins, a 3rd-year apprentice Welder, and CameronMcFadyen, a 3rd-year apprentice Pipefitter, talked about their apprenticeship journeys with students.
In February, we were at Inverclyde Academy in Greenock, where former pupil Michael McCauley, a 3rd-year apprentice Welder, inspired students with his story and insights into the apprenticeship programme. We’re excited to continue supporting young talent and look forward to welcoming more apprentices into the shipbuilding industry.
Apprenticeships play an important role in giving young people the skills they need to build a great career, and we’re proud to offer these opportunities to our community.
