Ferguson Marine welcomes local leaders and advocates to the shipyard

Community is at the heart of everything we do at Ferguson Marine, from the area in which our shipyard has proudly stood for over 200 years to the many local organisations, schools and hospitals that make Inverclyde a great place to live.

We're committed to being a good neighbour and are constantly looking for ways to support our community through fundraising, skills development and maximising the overall economic impact of Clyde built ships.

That’s why, over the last couple of days, we have been delighted to welcome representatives from a broad spectrum of important local organisations to our shipyard to discuss how we can work together to improve lives in Inverclyde.

Guests met with CEO, Graeme Thomson before being taken on a tour of the yard including a climb up to the top of MV Glen Rosa. Each group reflected how struck they were by the scale of the ship coupled with the logistical complexities and intricacies involved in building this kind of vessel as we discussed how we can collaborate on initiatives that support our great community.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us, we look forward to doing more visits like this in future and working together to realise the benefits of Scottish shipbuilding to Inverclyde and beyond.
