UK Secretary of State for Defence visits Ferguson Marine

The UK government’s Secretary of State for Defence the Rt Hon Sir Michael Fallon visited Ferguson Marine on Friday 20 October 2017.  Whilst there he met with CEO Gerry Marshall and the senior management team to discuss Ferguson’s ambitious plans for the future, and then on a tour of the facilities spoke to several members of the workforce making a particular point of meeting union reps and apprentices. Ferguson Marine Engineering becomes key member of Global Project SHIPLYS

Ferguson Marine Engineering has recently become a key member of a three-year project called SHIPLYS (Ship Life Cycle Software Solutions). Ferguson Marine Engineering (FME), a Clyde Blowers Capital company, have been named as SME Employer of the Year at the 2016 Scottish Apprenticeships Awards. The event, held at the National Museum of Scotland and hosted by Skills Development Scotland, celebrated the best of Scottish businesses and, in particular, companies which continue to support and nurture apprenticeship talent throughout Scotland. Ferguson Marine delivers first vessel ahead of schedule

Ferguson Marine Engineering Ltd. (FMEL) are very pleased to announce that on 16th September 2016, they have delivered “MV Catriona” to Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd. (CMAL), 6 weeks ahead of schedule. The delivered vessel is the 3rd in class roll-on roll-off ferry and the previous two sister vessels were also built in the same yard in Port Glasgow. The vessel is equipped with the latest technology in low-carbon diesel electric and lithium ion battery propulsion, is 43.5m long and 12.2m wide and accommodates 150 passengers and 23 cars or 2 HGVs.
